To continue this effort, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Logistics team in Copenhagen, someone who can originate, develop and close complex logistics opportunities and continue to position NORDEN as a trusted partner in integrated maritime solutions.
Shaping and securing long-term logistics solutions
You will play a key role in building NORDEN’s logistics business by identifying, shaping and securing complex solutions across global supply chains.
On the commercial side, you work closely with customers to understand their needs, design tailored solutions and manage negotiations for long-term partnerships. On the strategic side, you contribute to how we position NORDEN in the market, ensuring we move beyond transactional freight into integrated logistics offerings.
In other words, you become a key driver in connecting market opportunities with commercially viable and operationally executable solutions.
All of this takes place in a collaborative, international environment where you work closely with Chartering, Operations, Technical and Market Research to turn opportunities into scalable business.
The tasks that await you
You will work across the full lifecycle of logistics projects, from early-stage opportunity identification to commercial closing and implementation support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and owning commercial opportunities: You identify and originate logistics opportunities through direct customer engagement and market insight. You structure, price, negotiate and close complex projects, ensuring alignment between customer needs and NORDEN’s capabilities.
- Designing customer-centric logistics solutions: You develop a deep understanding of customer supply chains and translate this into tailored, non-standard solutions.
- Managing project structuring and execution alignment: You ensure that commercial models reflect how solutions are executed in practice, supporting project implementation and maintaining alignment between what is sold and what is delivered.
- Advancing strategic positioning and collaboration: You help shape NORDEN’s logistics strategy while partnering across teams to identify synergies and enhance our overall offering.
- Providing market insight and thought leadership: You stay close to market developments, customer needs and trade flows, bringing insights that help shape both individual opportunities and NORDEN’s broader commercial direction.
Your core qualifications
This role requires a profile with solid commercial understanding, strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex logistics projects.
You bring:
- 5+ years of experience within shipping, logistics or a related industry.
- Experience working with logistics, infrastructure or project-based environments.
- Exposure to complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience engaging in strategic customer discussions and shaping tailored solutions.
- A data-driven mindset to support decision-making and prioritisation.
You may come from a commercial role with exposure to logistics execution or from a more operational background with a commercial mindset. What matters most is your ability to connect opportunity, solution design and real-world delivery.
