As our new Chartering Lead, Panamax Atlantic, you will step into the front line of global trade, joining our team in Copenhagen.

The role exists to grow earnings on Panamax tonnage building a high‑performing chartering team aligned with NORDEN’s global P&L objectives.

Supported by experienced teams in areas such as risk management and market research, you will have access to actionable data and insights, enabling you to focus on high‑quality commercial decision‑making and long‑term customer value.
The tasks that await you
These are the core responsibilities that define the role:
- Own delivery of agreed Panamax P&L results.
- Increase earnings by actively positioning Panamax tonnage across spot, short-term contracts and COAs.
- Set commercial targets and KPIs for the team and follow up on performance, development and wellbeing.
- Provide clear Panamax market views based on global macro trends, vessel supply/demand, and freight volatility.
- Develop strategic Panamax trades and customers within the Atlantic.
Your core qualifications
You are well-experienced in commercial matters, working collaboratively and motivated by growing people and performance.
You are set to mentor those around you, not only by determining the path forward, but by cultivating their potential.
You will thrive as the Chartering Lead if you:
- Bring 10+ years’ experience in Dry Cargo Chartering.
- Committed leader who exemplifies motivation and works towards enhancing outcomes in a collaborative manner.
- Balance long-term goals with attention to daily operations.
- Flourish in a work environment known for its deliberate transformations.
- Able to resolve conflicts and offer constructive feedback.
- Embody NORDEN’s values and promote an inclusive, and respectful culture.
