NORDEN received Information Award - Corporate News

12 Jan 2010

NORDEN has received the Information Award 2009 from The Danish Society of Financial Analysts (DDF).

NORDEN was Monday presented with the Information Award 2009 at The Danish Society of Financial Analysts’ Annual New Year Event Dinner.

”NORDEN receives the award for its whole of information, which is impressive in depth as well as in width. NORDEN provides extensive and very detailed information which is conveyed to the stock market through annual report, web site, and through ongoing contact with investors and analysts,” said Jens Houe Thomsen, Chairman of DDF's Committee for Accounting Standards.

” Naturally, I’m proud of accepting this award on behalf of NORDEN – and I’m immensely proud of my employees who deserve the credit for us coming so far in terms of communicating what we do in the Company. The art is not to simply inform stakeholders of every little detail – the art is to be able to select and deselect information in order to inform stakeholders of the important matters required to assess a company. We have adapted business, capacity, costs, organisation and investments significantly this past year. We have sought to inform the share market as openly and honestly as possible of our efforts and performance. And we have sought to keep focus on the dialogue, although I may admit that at times it has been difficult to find the time to do so. Today’s award is a very motivational factor in our efforts to raise the bar within the right areas – not in all, but within the right ones,” said NORDEN’s CEO and President, Carsten Mortensen at the presentation.

It is the first time for NORDEN to receive DDF’s Information Award. In 2007 NORDEN received the Information Diploma for the company’s reporting. Novo Nordisk has received DDF’s Information Award the past two years and before this companies like Danske Bank and GN Store Nord have received the prize.
