The Board of Management, Senior Management and Group Management are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group. The Board of Management reports to the Board of Directors, who is responsible for the overall management of NORDEN.

Carsten MortensenPresident & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), born in 1966. Carsten Mortensen joined NORDEN in 1997 as head of the Dry Cargo Department. He became a member of Management and was appointed COO in 2004. In January 2005, he was appointed President (CEO). Mr Mortensen was previously employed with A. P. Møller for 11 years, where he received his training in shipping. He holds a graduate diploma from CBS in International Business and has completed executive training programmes at INSEAD and Wharton Business School. Michael Tønnes JørgensenExecutive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO), born in 1966. Michael Tønnes Jørgensen joined NORDEN in 2009 as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr Jørgensen is trained in shipping and holds a graduate diploma from CBS in Financial and Management Accounting as well as an M.Sc. in accounting. He has completed executive training programmes at INSEAD and IMD and holds an Executive MBA from IMD. Mr Jørgensen was previously employed with A. P. Møller for more than 22 years and has experience with economics, financing and strategy as Senior Director, Finance at Maersk Line and as CFO at Maersk Air, Maersk Container Business, Maersk Line and Maersk Logistics/Damco, respectively. Peter NorborgExecutive Vice President & Head of Dry Cargo Department, born in 1966. Peter Norborg has been employed in NORDEN since 1998. He was managing director of the USA office from 2001-2004, and in 2004, he was promoted to Deputy of the Dry Cargo Department and head of the activities in the Handymax segment. In 2006, he was appointed Vice President. He was appointed Senior Vice President and Manager of the Dry Cargo Department in September 2008. With effect from 1 January 2011, he was appointed Executive Vice President and joined the Executive Management. Mr Norborg is trained in shipping and holds an Executive MBA from IMD. Lars Bagge ChristensenSenior Vice President & Head of Tanker Department, born in 1963. Lars Bagge Christensen joined NORDEN in 1993 and was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of the Tanker Department in 1999. Mr Bagge Christensen was previously employed with A. P. Møller, where he received his shipping training. He has completed executive training programmes at INSEAD and Wharton Business School.
