Community Activities and Education
NORDEN has committed directly and indirectly to developing talent within the fields of shipping management, logistics and safety through foundation grants. This is done in collaboration with among others Shanghai Maritime University in China, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and Holy Cross of Davao College in the Philippines. NORDEN finances scholarships at the 3 institutions and also hires shipping trainees and cadets from them.

Internally in NORDEN
Internally NORDEN supports talent development among employees via close cooperation with institutions such as INSEAD (France), Henley Business School (UK), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), and IMD (Switzerland).
Sponsorships
In order to profile the shipping industry towards future generations, NORDEN has been instrumental in arranging funds donations to an interactive ship simulator, an experimental stand and a giant digital globe "Tangible Earth" at Experimentarium in Hellerup (the large Danish Exploratorium on natural science and education). Furthermore, NORDEN has been instrumental in arranging funds donations to a new centre researching and analysing shipping.
